Our Roofing Warranty
Every roof replacement from Roofing & Construction by Peterson comes with two warranties: our limited lifetime warranty on labor, and the manufacturer’s warranty on materials. Here is what each one covers.
Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty
Our limited lifetime warranty covers labor, for roof replacement work paid in full. It covers defects in workmanship only — errors in how your roof was installed.
This warranty is valid for the lifetime of the roof — defined as the expected lifespan of the installed roofing materials as determined by the manufacturer.
This warranty is not transferable to subsequent property owners.
What’s Not Covered
- Defects in materials — those are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, not our labor warranty.
- Alterations to the roof not performed by Peterson.
- Improper or insufficient maintenance.
- Weather conditions and acts of God — that is what your homeowner’s insurance is for. See our storm damage & insurance claims page for help with the claim process.
- Normal wear and tear.
Manufacturer Warranty
The manufacturer’s warranty covers defects in the roofing materials themselves — typically 20–50 years depending on the shingle or metal product installed. We install every roof to manufacturer specifications, so your material warranty stays valid from day one.
